Inactivity and possible temporary closing
I am very sorry to say that we might have to temporarily close submissions to Bird-Photography (https://www.deviantart.com/bird-photography) due to inactivity of our current moderators (myself included) and the lack of access to be able to add more. Unfortunately, I do not have the proper access for this and our founder has been MIA for over a year. DeviantArt will not transfer ownership to me without permission from the founder.
First, I am going to try to lower the vote to just one and extend the time in which it expires. If that does not work, then we will be shutting our doors until a solution is found (or f the founder ever gets back to me...). I apologize for the inconvenienc

UPDATE (12/4): We are now reviewing applications and are no longer accepting new requests. We will get back to everyone this week.
We currently are in need of some moderators to vote on incoming submissions. There is not a high load so we are only looking for one or two active members.
To qualify you must:
1. Have above average bird photography in your gallery - we want our moderators to set good examples of our work
2. Be able to visit (almost) daily or multiple times per week to accept submissions
3. Be able to justly accept or decline a deviation based on our submission guidelines
